The new 2025 Kempe Tree is Here!
Today, on Aug 9, 2025 I am posting the latest version of the Kempe Family Tree that I began in 1997 and first printed out and shared in 1999 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of our common ancestor J. C. Kempe. It has become a large document. Please send anyone you think might want to have a copy the link to this page. Also, if you are on Facebook, please share this link with others to get the word out.
You can download the PDF to your phone and view it there.
Here are the instructions if you want a hard copy.
1) Find a print shop (copy place, architectural drawings shop, in Sweden they are often called Kopieringsbyå) that can print on a 36" (36 inch) roll. That is a standard format and is also called "trettisex tum" in Swedish or 91.44 cm. That is the height of this printout. The width capacity of the print shop is irrelevant because the paper is on a roll.
2) Ask the printer to make the image as large as they can on the paper and NOT to print according to any preset format. They need to make an adjustment in the print settings of the document to do this. Otherwise the picture will not fill out the entire paper height and the names will be hard to read. I suggest that the printer leaves two centimeters around the edge of the print in case you want to frame the Family Tree.
3) You can download a PDF file below. This is a universal standard format that any print shop can use to print you a copy. You can take the file to your print shop on a USB drive or email it to them. You can also give the print shop the link to this page and they can download it and print it directly.
The final document will be approx. 92x140 cm.

At some point in the future there will be an updated version. If your family's changes were not recorded in the 2024 version of the family tree, send me your details and I will include them next time I update the tree.
With warm greetings,
